Hello, Norma Jean!
This is my favorite MM picture of all time. Naughty innocence beams from her eyes as she flirts with the camera. She wears only the lower half of a two-piece swimsuit – the ultimate incarnation of full-coverage panties – that conceals yet enhances a bottom Michelangelo would have had a hard time duplicating in marble, and a hard time, period, if she modeled for him and he had any testosterone in his veins. And of course one can’t help imagine kneeling beside this ethereal vision of spankability, first to palm and caress her taut nether orbs, and then to firmly swat these Olympian hillocks while gently scolding her for making such a mess of the sofa.
What were you thinking, young lady, hm? Yes, you should squeal! And what became of the top of your swimsuit? The very idea!

I have a picture of Marilyn hanging in my bathroom. Black & white in candlelight, appears she’s getting ready for a date, dabbing on Chanel. Stunning. It inspires me when I’m getting ready in the morning … as I dab on cold water, trying to remove the sheet wrinkles from my face. I wish I knew how to sleep *gracefully*.

Although she looks quite spankable here, and although she’s justly famous for an ability to “give herself to the camera” Marilyn doesn’t seem quite such a decided spanko herself. But perhaps the French see her differently in that regard. No doubt you’ve all seen the Secretary inspired clips from the TV show Californication. One of the men tells the secretary there (after she’s just given his colleague an asthma attack presumable due to excessive erotic stimulation – she was posing in her underwear on his desk) “Looks like it’s time to check out there Betty Page”. On the French subtitles in the clip I saw, the name is “Marilyn”, not “Betty Page”. Don’t tell me the French haven’t heard of Betty Page. Unfortunately I can’t find that clip just now to link to it (a first, I know).
However appopos of nothing except that it’s about to be taken down, read this dynamite blog: I suggest you read the whole thing. It’s one of the best ever.
People ‘sleep gracefully’ only in the movies, Kitty Eyes. *G* Maybe I should hang a picture of Bogey in my bathroom for similar inspiration – not one from ‘Treasure of the Sierra Madre,’ obviously.

Dev, love this picture of MM. I’ve never seen it before. Lovely! Would have thought you already have a picture of Bogey, maybe even a shrine, in your house. Yes, skip ‘Treasure…’ and go for ‘The Maltese Falcon’ look. You are more the hard-bitten, world-weary, but nevertheless romantic gumshoe type.
Gwen, while you take inspiration from Marilyn you are an inspiration to others, sheet wrinkles or not.

I recall hearing an radio interview with a photographer, or perhaps an author, about some picture of MM that was taken right after she had been spanked. Never did find out what the book was called. Much later, I found something about her having shown up late for a photo shoot, and it was the photographer who spanked her.
Or was I dreaming?

Never heard that particular story … but I did read that Marilyn’s shrink leaked that during a session, Marilyn admitted fantasizing about being spanked by Clark Gable during their filming of ‘The Misfits’. From what I read, the fantasy didn’t really have any sexual connotations to it, there was more of a disciplinary, authoritative element to the spanking.
But cripes, who *hasn’t* fantasized about being spanked by Clark Gable?!
Well … I guess a few names come to immediate mind, Devlin, Michael, Ken, Dave … *G*

Oddly enough (or perhaps not oddly at all, now that I think about it) I NEVER have dreamed about Clark Gable in any way, shape or form.

Harmonica–I heard that photographer story, too, so you weren’t dreaming. He said he spanked her with a hairbrush, as I recall. After hearing him tell the story, though,for some reason I came away feeling like he was making it up….no particular reason, just a feeling.
But geez, who wouldn’t want to claim to have spanked Marilyn Monroe?
